Van Toan shines, Nam Dinh Club consolidates top spot in V.League 2023/2024

The two teams have contrasting performances as Nam Dinh have won all three matches since the start of the season. Meanwhile, Ha Tinh FC has yet to taste victory. However, the home field advantage has helped coach Nguyen Thanh Cong and his team cause many difficulties for the away team.

Ha Tinh FC started the game better. However, Nam Dinh FC was the team that created the first chance. Rafaelson headed the ball but could not beat goalkeeper Quang Tuan.

The away team controlled the ball better thanks to a squad of better quality players. However, coach Vu Hong Viet let his players play slowly, waiting for Ha Tinh's defense to make a mistake. In the 14th minute, Van Toan crossed from the right wing for Coutinho to head. Rafaelson was in the right place to tap the ball in, opening the score.

Ha Tinh FC increased the pace of the match. They soon equalized in the 29th minute. Tran Dinh Tien was the one to put his name on the scoreboard. However, the joy of the home fans did not last long. In the 42nd minute, Rafaelson tapped the ball into the goal from Hendrio's corner kick, re-establishing the lead.

In the second half, Ha Tinh FC was awarded a penalty. Abdoulaye Diallo missed the shot, but the referee judged that Nguyen Manh had moved early, so he let Diallo take the shot again. The Senegalese player made no mistake and equalized for the home team.

However, once again, Nam Dinh FC disappointed the home fans. They raised the score to 3-2 just a few minutes after Diallo's goal. The scorer was Nguyen Van Toan.

In the final minutes, Ha Tinh FC raised their squad with the determination to keep at least 1 point. This left a large gap in front of Duong Quang Tuan's goal. In the 77th minute, Hendrio skillfully handled the ball to eliminate Ha Tinh defenders. He passed the ball to Van Toan before this striker assisted Nguyen Phong Hong Duy to score.

Nam Dinh FC defeated the home team with a score of 4-2. However, this victory was not complete when Nguyen Dinh Son received a red card in the last minute. Coach Vu Hong Viet's team maintained their winning streak since the beginning of the season and consolidated their top position in V.League Night Wolf 2023/2024 with 12 points.
