Recently, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department has drafted a Decree on "Regulations on policies and regimes for members of national sports teams, training and competition" to replace Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP to improve the regime for coaches and athletes. In the new draft decree, the bonus levels for SEA Games achievements are increased to 60 million VND/gold medal, 30 million VND for silver medal, 25 million VND/bronze medal and athletes who break a record at the SEA Games will receive an additional 25 million VND. However, the new decree replacing Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP has not been approved and issued, so coaches and athletes still receive the old bonus levels.
At the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department will also offer bonuses to athletes who win gold, silver and bronze medals of 10 million VND, 5 million VND and 3 million VND respectively. In addition, many federations, through socialization, also offer attractive bonuses to athletes. The leaders of the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation announced a bonus of 100 million VND for athletes who win gold medals. The Vietnam Taekwondo Federation will offer a bonus of 700 USD (more than 18 million VND) for athletes who win gold medals. The Vietnam Athletics Federation announced a bonus fund of 1 billion VND for the team with the condition that the Vietnamese athletics team completes the target of defending 12 gold medals...
