On October 14, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province said that he had just been assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and wards of Xuan Huong - Da Lat, Lam Vien - Da Lat to complete the scientific dossier of the scenic relic of Xuan Huong Lake according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and related documents. The results of the implementation will be reported to the Provincial People's Committee before November 30, 2025.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, Xuan Huong Lake (Da Lat) was ranked as a national scenic spot by the Ministry of Culture, now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1988. In 1997, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision to redefine the scope of protection zone I including 6.9 hectares and protection zone II 59.2 hectares, the total area of the protection zone was up to 66.1 hectares. However, due to the inconsistent scientific records of the Xuan Huong Lake scenic relic and the decision on determining the boundary of protection zone I and protection zone II (signed by the People's Committee of Lam Dong province in 1997), it has caused difficulties in management.
By September 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had a document agreeing with the proposal of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to revise and complete the scientific dossier to protect and promote the values of this scenic relic. However, up to now, the scientific dossier of Xuan Huong Lake scenic relic has not been completed.
