The rock strip stretches from Ganh Duoi area (Phuong Mai peninsula) to Hon Kho island, in Quy Nhon Dong ward, and is made up of many blocks of rock stacked on top of each other to form a flat surface structure. The massiveness and special structure have led many people to compare and associate the rock strip with an ancient citadel wall or a thousand-year-old breakwater.
Gia Lai Provincial Museum has coordinated with the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology to conduct a survey and collect samples from the stone strip for initial analysis. Based on the initial research results, the Museum is planning a comprehensive assessment of the value of the stone strip area (the ancient citadel wall), thereby taking the next steps to prepare a dossier to propose the classification of the relic, in order to preserve and promote the unique value of the citadel wall.
