Lang Son Global Geopark covers an area of nearly 5,000 square kilometers, spread across 8 districts, including more than 100 geological heritage sites, scenic spots, archaeological sites and typical cultural relics. This is a place that preserves traces of geological evolution spanning hundreds of millions of years, while reflecting the harmonious relationship between humans and nature through historical periods.

Along with its geological value, the park is also notable for its rich ecosystem and unique culture of ethnic minority communities such as Tay, Nung, Dao, San Chay... with their customs, folk beliefs, traditional festivals and long-standing handicraft villages.
The title of Global Geopark is an important step for Lang Son to promote sustainable development associated with preserving heritage values, biodiversity and local cultural identity.
