The Congress of the Party Committee of the Institute of Weapons focused on evaluating the results of 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Institute and determining the direction, goals, tasks, and leadership solutions for the 2025-2030 term; reviewing the leadership work of the 12th Party Committee of the Institute; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents submitted to the Party Congresses at all levels.

The political report at the Congress stated: During the past term, the Party Committee of the Institute focused on leading and directing the successful completion of the targets set out in the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Institute. Notably, it led the innovation of scientific research tasks to ensure quality, progress, efficiency and safety. During the term, the Party Committee of the Institute led the implementation of 99 topics and tasks at all levels. The number of topics after completion that were put into series production "0" and had enough factors to put into series production "0" reached 97%, an increase of 1.34 times compared to the previous term... Participated in building and proposing science and technology programs and projects on research and design of weapons and equipment.

In addition, the Party Committee of the Institute has effectively led the implementation of technical assurance for defense production and consulting, appraisal, and implementation of projects; effectively maintained scientific and technological service activities, contributing to creating additional funding sources for the unit's activities. The Party and political activities of the Institute have been actively and effectively implemented, creating political stability, solidarity, and unity throughout the unit.

Speaking at the Congress, Major General Dinh Quoc Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee of the Institute of Weapons in the past term. At the same time, he requested that in the coming term, the Party Committee of the Institute should thoroughly grasp the viewpoints and orientations of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , the General Department of Defense Industry, and lead the unit to successfully complete the assigned political tasks, especially the research of new and modern weapons; speed up the research process, ensure absolute safety in research and ensure technical assurance for defense production.
