From children holding the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the countryside, to the elderly recounting war memories with a thoughtful yet proud voice - all create a "common breath" of a nation that has overcome many challenges, and is continuing to move forward with strong faith.
What comes to mind right now is the resilience of children and people in disadvantaged areas. Despite facing natural disasters, climate change, or economic challenges, people in Quang Tri, Quang Nam... are still united, creative and full of determination to care for the future of their children.
I am truly impressed by the strong spirit of solidarity and community – from protecting natural resources together, to creating safe and equitable learning environments for all children. It is this spirit that makes Vietnam such a special and precious country.
I truly believe that people-to-people diplomacy is the most effective way to connect the world - when people meet each other with empathy and humanity.

At World Vision, we promote this every day through our Child Sponsorship Program, where overseas sponsors are directly connected to children in Vietnam. They not only provide financial support, but also share their love, write letters, offer encouragement, and many even travel to Vietnam to meet the children. These people-to-people relationships are a profound form of diplomacy, where trust, understanding and love are built over time.
I hope to continue to develop such connections, so that the world can see Vietnam not only through reports, but through the vivid and inspiring stories of the Vietnamese people.
Vietnam is not only in my mind but also in my heart.
