Vietnam recognizes the great contributions of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski

On November 19, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland coordinated with the Lubelskie Provincial Government to organize a ceremony to posthumously award the Friendship Medal of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski.

In a solemn and cozy atmosphere, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai awarded the Vietnam Friendship Medal to the family representative - Professor Bartłomiej Kwiatkowski, son of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador expressed his emotion and acknowledged the great dedication and contributions of architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski in preserving historical relics in Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary, Hue... of Vietnam, contributing to promoting and helping these relics to be listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List as well as strengthening the friendly relations between Vietnam and Poland.

Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai presented the Vietnam Friendship Medal to the representative of the family of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski.

The Ambassador said that architect Kwiatkowski, known to the Vietnamese people as “Kazik”, left a “priceless legacy” for Vietnam; until now, the Vietnamese people still remember “Kazik” with memories and admiration; wishing that his memory will live forever in the hearts of every Vietnamese and Polish person.

Before the ceremony, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai laid flowers at the grave of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski at the Lublin city cemetery.

On this occasion, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai had working meetings with Chairman of the Provincial Council Jaroslaw Stawiarski and Chairman of Lublin City Krzysztof Żuk.

The meetings discussed the situation of cooperation between the two countries in 2025, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Poland diplomatic relations, and the prospects and potential for developing bilateral relations in the coming time, including promoting cooperation between Lubelskie province and localities of Vietnam.
