The event, organized by the Korea University Invention Association (KUIA), under the auspices of the National Assembly of Korea, brought together more than 1,000 students from nearly 30 countries and territories. This is an annual international playground for high school students with a passion for scientific research and technical invention.

The competition takes place in the form of a group competition (2-5 students), aiming at initiatives that are creative, highly applicable and bring practical value to the community. The teams not only introduce their products but also have to present and debate in front of a panel of experts in English.

Vietnamese delegations won 6 gold medals at the 2025 World Creativity Olympiad in Korea.

This year, Vietnam participated on the largest scale ever with 70 teams from many provinces and cities. The topics all demonstrated the spirit of innovation, creativity and social responsibility of the young generation of Vietnam.

In which, the teams winning Gold Medals include:

NCKH06: Nguyen Le Dieu Thu, Le Nhat Hien, Vu Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Chi Bach.

NCKH08: Nguyen Chan Nam, Le Nam Khanh, Bui Minh Duc, Le Minh Tuan, Dang Chi Hieu.

NCKH09: Chau Hong Nhat Linh, Tran Gia Minh Tam, Chu Hoang Chau Anh.

NCKH12: Nguyen The Song Ha, Ngo Tri Dung, Pham Duc Anh, Hoang Tung Thu, Quach Duy Dat.

NCKH13: Doan Tran Anh Nghi, Nguyen Vu Truc Khue, Vu Khanh Linh.

Research paper 16: Vu Anh Duc, Bui Quang Minh, Vu Duc Minh.

Three Silver Medals were awarded to the teams:

NCKH05: Thieu Phuong Linh, Pham Dinh Bao Phuc, Phung Uyen Phuong, Pham Minh Hung.

NCKH14: Hoang Minh Anh, Nguyen Hung Lan, Pham Vu Minh.

NCKH15: Le Lam Nguyen, Ngoc Linh, Pham Minh Thu.

Notably, the NCKH06 group not only won the Gold Medal but also received a Special Prize from the expert council thanks to the breakthrough and high practical applicability of the topic.

To prepare for the competition, Vietnamese teams were selected and trained domestically. Global Science Journey Joint Stock Company (GSJ) is a professional partner, supporting the development of topics, developing models as well as training presentation and debate skills in English. GSJ also directly coordinated and led the student delegation to Seoul to compete.

The delegation representative said that the achievements at WICO 2025 not only affirm the creativity of Vietnamese students but also open up many opportunities for international cooperation and exchange in the field of science and technology.
