The 2024 Vietnamese Culinary Excellence Exhibition Program is organized by VCCA.

To expand and develop its network, the Association established an additional branch of the Vietnam MasterChefs Association. Immediately after its establishment in August, the Vietnam MasterChefs Association has been continuously active in introducing and showcasing Vietnamese-European dishes with Vietnamese seasoning adjustments to food businesses such as Masan , Lee Kum Kee, ABC, etc. Simultaneously, it has successfully organized social activities, charitable programs, and community support initiatives; launched meaningful campaigns such as "Giving is Forever," a charity program in Long An; and supported the fund for disabled children in Ho Chi Minh City…

Besides strengthening internal personnel and the operations of its affiliated offices, committees, and branches, VCCA members successfully organized several notable events over the past year. For example, the Vietnam Restaurant Association successfully organized the ARAA event within the framework of The Restaurant Leadership 2024; launching the project “Vietnam, on a journey to becoming the new “Culinary Capital” of the world ”. The event attracted leading experts, leaders, managers, and representatives from international organizations in the F&B industry, and provided an opportunity to introduce, connect, and develop the Vietnamese culinary platform internationally…

Leveraging VCCA's strengths in assembling and utilizing a team of chefs and culinary artisans nationwide, VCCA has collaborated with local departments and agencies to advise, co-organize, provide professional sponsorship, and support media coverage for culinary and tourism cultural events across the country, such as: the Thanh Hoa Culinary Culture Festival 2024; the Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival 2024; the Nam Dinh Pho Festival 2024; the Hue Traditional Food Week 2024; the "Delicious Da Nang" Culinary Festival, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky, Chairman of VCCA, noted that 2024 marks a special period in Vietnam's economic, cultural, and social context, creating profound impacts on the association's activities. Amidst the continued global economic recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam has maintained stable GDP growth while also witnessing strong development in international tourism. This trend presents numerous opportunities for promoting and developing Vietnamese culinary brands internationally.

Seizing opportunities from tourism development, policy changes, and international integration, VCCA aims to continue developing its membership, planning to increase official membership and guide the establishment of more local culinary associations (Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Northwest Vietnam, etc.) in 2025; organize the event "Announcement of the journey to search for and establish a Vietnamese record for a collection of 365 unique Vietnamese dishes with fish sauce" and continue to collaborate with localities to organize many competitions and programs to promote Vietnamese cuisine to the world...

In particular, the VCCA President and members are devoting a great deal of effort to perfecting the project "Comprehensive Collection of Vietnamese Cuisine Connecting the Community," aiming towards a "Vietnamese Culinary Encyclopedia."

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky stated that in today's globalized environment, culinary culture has become an important part of building a national brand and attracting tourists. Vietnamese dishes, with their richness and strong national identity, are increasingly appreciated internationally. The development of the culinary tourism industry has contributed to elevating Vietnamese cuisine in the eyes of international friends. Signature dishes such as pho, banh mi, and bun cha not only leave a lasting impression on tourists but are also honored on world culinary rankings.

Therefore, VCCA has set itself the task of building culinary cultural capitals, food hubs, and museums of Vietnamese cuisine, making Vietnamese cuisine a brand synonymous with Vietnam.
