On August 13, in Hanoi , the Academy of Finance (AOF) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the Vietnam-Singapore cooperation in developing human resources in the fields of finance - accounting - banking - auditing.
ISCA is the leading professional accounting and auditing organization in Singapore and the region, with more than 30,000 members practicing in many fields and playing an important role in building and developing professional standards as well as training and developing human resources in the accounting and finance industry. With this cooperation, students of the Academy of Finance will have the opportunity to access specialized training programs according to international standards, thereby comprehensively developing their expertise, skills and international career thinking.
The signing ceremony was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, with participants from the Academy including representatives of the Academy's leaders; leaders of the Academy's departments and offices; representatives of the Accounting Faculty's leaders and representatives of the Departments of the Accounting Faculty.
On ISCA's side, there were ISCA's Executive Director and International Partnership Development Tan Wei Luo; ISCA's Chief Representative in Vietnam Stephen Nguyen and many other delegates.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung introduced the Academy of Finance - one of the leading public universities in Vietnam in the fields of finance - accounting - banking - auditing. With more than 60 years of establishment and development, the Academy has constantly innovated its training programs, linked theory with practice, promoted scientific research and expanded international cooperation to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
"We always determine that, in the context of globalization and the 4.0 industrial revolution, connecting with prestigious international professional organizations is a key factor to update standards, improve training quality and create global career opportunities for learners," emphasized Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung.
Expressing his honor when the Academy of Finance signed the MoU with ISCA, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung believes that this is a clear demonstration of the commitment to realizing that mission and philosophy, through connecting with prestigious international partners, providing students with opportunities to access training programs, certificates and professional standards of regional and global stature.
"We also believe that, with the support and sharing from ISCA, these cooperation activities will not only contribute to improving the training quality of the Academy, but also create motivation and opportunities for students to develop comprehensively in terms of expertise, skills and international career thinking; at the same time, demonstrate the commitment to close cooperation between the two organizations - towards the common goal of developing high-quality human resources in the fields of accounting, auditing and finance, in line with the requirements of international integration", the Director of the Academy of Finance shared.

According to the MoU, the Academy of Finance and ISCA will coordinate to implement specific cooperation activities:
Firstly, evaluate and compare the Accounting training program of the Academy of Finance with the ISCA professional competency framework, to identify the subjects that can be exempted in the process of accessing international certificates.
Second, develop a scholarship program for students majoring in Business Accounting, Auditing and Corporate Finance, supporting them to participate in the online review program (e-revision) and the SCAQ Foundation Programme exam. Nominated students will need to meet the language proficiency requirement equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or higher.
Third, coordinate the organization of career guidance activities, seminars, talks, and connect students with training and practice organizations recognized by ISCA.
