Continuing the story of peace by musician Nguyen Van Chung, there is a special MV cover, made by the deaf community in sign language, released on War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.
"We bow our heads in gratitude to the heroes who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Your blood has stained the motherland red, continuing the story of peace for future generations," wrote the fanpage Cham Thanh.
This is one of the platforms connecting deaf and hearing impaired people with hearing people through sign language founded by a group of final year students at FPT University.

Le Hoc Kien - representative of Cham Thanh - shared with Tuoi Tre Online that Cham Thanh had been nurturing the idea for the MV since the end of May and started filming in mid-June, finishing in mid-July.
When creating the project, the young people wanted to remove communication barriers between the deaf community, the hearing impaired and the hearing people. To remove barriers, we must communicate and spread sign language to connect people. During that process, the idea of making the MV Continue the story of peace was born.
Kien said, "By gathering people who belong to or are interested in the deaf and hearing-impaired community from many provinces and cities in and outside the country to express themselves in sign language, the MV is a praise for peace, and also a lively song that shows understanding and connection across all barriers."
Participating in the MV are 20 deaf and hearing-impaired children from Thuy An Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled, Cham Thanh group, international students, teachers, relatives of the deaf and young people studying sign language.
"The MV is performed by hearts that sympathize and accompany the deaf community across the country, and is directly produced by deaf people themselves. No words are needed, but every hand movement, every look is filled with deep gratitude and the desire to spread peace through the language of the heart," said the group's representative.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung said that today, he saw many versions of "Writing the Next Story of Peace" covered/performed on many different stages and programs.
"This MV in sign language is one of the special things that makes me very happy and proud because my compositions are spread to all classes in society," he said. "Somehow, the children were able to express the lyrics in the right rhythm of the song."

Nguyen Van Chung's greatest pride
Nguyen Van Chung told Tuoi Tre Online that at first when writing Continue the story of peace , he just wanted to challenge himself in a different topic area after songs about love, family, children...
"Compared to songs with other themes, songs about love for the country are harder to spread, so I don't have much hope. I just hope that if the song is loved by a singer, it will be brought to political and propaganda stages to educate about history, and I will be happy," he said, "I didn't expect the song to be so lucky to spread so strongly."

Nguyen Van Chung said "perhaps the song awakened and touched the patriotic hearts and national pride of all Vietnamese people, that's why it spread so much."
The musician added that to date, Continue the story of peace has reached about 6 billion views. The data is compiled by the distribution unit from platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and short clips on Reel/Story.
"However, views are not the greatest value, but what makes me most proud, I can say in my career as a musician, is that I wrote a song that touched the hearts of audiences of many ages, all backgrounds, all professions, from workers, doctors, to officers and soldiers, all sang and loved it."
