At the UK Foreign Office, witnessed by the British Prime Minister's Special Envoy, Sir Matt Western, and senior leaders of both sides, Vietjet Air and Airbus Group officially signed a contract to purchase 100 A321neo aircraft, along with 50 additional purchase rights.
The event took place as the two countries upgraded their diplomatic relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening a new chapter for cooperation in key areas such as aviation, technology, investment and sustainable development.
Symbol of strategic cooperation and global aspirations
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Matt Western, Special Envoy of the UK Prime Minister , affirmed: "The success of today's contract demonstrates the values that both parties share - innovation, resilience and mutual respect. This event opens the door for further cooperation between the UK and Vietnam in the coming years, while creating more jobs in North Wales, Derby and across the UK's aviation supply chain. This is a vivid demonstration of the mutual benefits that grow together."

The order for 100 A321neo aircraft is one of the largest commercial contracts in the history of cooperation between Vietnam and Europe, contributing to promoting bilateral trade and creating more high-quality jobs in the UK and Europe.
This contract continues the strategic cooperation between Vietjet and Airbus, bringing the total number of aircraft that Vietjet has ordered to 376 of all types.
