Vietravel positions itself as the first multinational tourism brand in Vietnam.

In nearly 30 years of establishment and development, Vietravel has expanded its branch system in most major provinces and cities of Vietnam and established representative offices in many countries (USA, France, Australia, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, etc.). The company has also invested in many strategic projects to diversify its services. For example, Vietravel Airlines (travel airline) and TripU travel technology platform are testaments to the group's relentless efforts to innovate. These achievements create a solid foundation for Vietravel to confidently move towards the stature of a leading multinational travel company.

At the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors of Vietravel approved the decision to adjust the company name. Accordingly, Vietnam Transport Marketing and Tourism Joint Stock Company (Vietravel) will officially be named “Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company.” The shortened name aims to simplify the brand identity system and emphasize the core nature of tourism services.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky - Chairman of Vietravel's Board of Directors affirmed that the new name will help Vietravel integrate into the international market.

Vietravel's board of directors said that this decision stems from the group's entrepreneurial spirit and long-term strategic vision, preparing for a new, stronger development phase. The name change is associated with many important strategic meanings. This is not only a step forward in form but also demonstrates Vietravel's determination to synchronize the brand in the new development phase, expand its position in the international market and aspire to become a Top 100 enterprise leading the Vietnamese economy .

“This renovation is not simply a name change but also affirms Vietravel’s long-term strategic vision and aspiration to reach out to the world. We are proud of the Vietravel brand with nearly 30 years of development, and believe that the new name will continue to help Vietravel strongly integrate into the international market. Our goal is to constantly innovate to firmly move towards a position in the Top 100 leading enterprises of the Vietnamese economy,” said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel.

In the coming time, Vietravel will continue to wholeheartedly carry out its mission of bringing high-class travel experiences, along with its commitment to environmental protection and international integration. Each step of Vietravel is aimed at creating added value for the community and enhancing the position of Vietnamese tourism on the world map.

The predecessor of Vietravel - GTVT Travel & Marketing Company - was established on December 20, 1995 under the decision of the Ministry of Transport, founded by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky. Initially with only 7 employees and modest charter capital, the company gradually developed and expanded its scale. By August 2010, Vietravel was transformed into Vietnam GTVT Travel & Marketing One Member Co., Ltd. In early 2014, Vietravel officially became Vietnam GTVT Travel & Marketing Joint Stock Company. Important milestones such as listing on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (code VTR) in 2019 have affirmed Vietravel's strong position in the tourism and travel industry.
