Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, General Director of Vietnam Chemical Group: In the last 6 months of the year, the Group focuses on developing the market, promoting internal consumption, and ensuring product supply.
Breakthrough in science and technology, pioneering the "double" transformation of the chemical industry
Vinachem has developed a Science and Technology and Digital Transformation Program for the period 2025–2030, with a vision to 2040; promoted research on products applying science and technology, and sought opportunities to participate in the semiconductor industry value chain. Outstanding initiatives in production and business are recognized and applied, creating a driving force for innovation from within the enterprise. At the same time, the Group-wide green transformation program to 2050 is being launched, focusing on energy saving, increasing the rate of automation and using robots in production, towards sustainable development.
In the first 6 months of the year, Vinachem proactively implemented Resolution 57-NQ/TW on scientific and technological breakthroughs and national digital transformation, gradually implementing "dual transformation" - both digitalization and green development of the chemical industry. The Group organized many conferences, seminars, and signed cooperation agreements with institutes, schools and technology enterprises to promote innovation.
Notably, the successful construction and operation of the Vinachemmart e-commerce platform - the first digital platform of the Vietnamese chemical industry - has marked a turning point in the modernization of the distribution system. Not only helping to digitize the supply chain and increase market transparency, Vinachemmart also directly connects manufacturing enterprises with consumers, optimizes logistics costs, shortens time to market access and expands export opportunities. The platform has been integrated with data analysis tools and automatic customer care, gradually applying artificial intelligence (AI), contributing to the creation of a specialized e-commerce ecosystem for the chemical industry.
Signing ceremony of cooperation to promote the development of Vinachemmart e-commerce platform
Along with e-commerce, Vinachem is focusing on promoting the construction of smart factories and 4.0 factories at its member units. This is a production model that integrates modern and automated technologies in a number of production stages. Many factories have initially applied automatic production lines, digital energy management systems, and smart production management software, thereby improving productivity, optimizing operating costs, and minimizing environmental risks. The transition from a traditional production model to a digital model not only enhances the competitiveness of enterprises but also contributes to creating a cleaner, more sustainable production in the long term.
In the environmental field, the Group actively implements the gypsum recycling project, builds a roadmap to reduce emissions towards the net zero target, affirming the pioneering role of state-owned enterprises in sustainable development.
With the motto "from vision to action", Vietnam Chemical Group steadfastly pursues its development strategy, while proactively realizing its goals with specific, strong and in-depth actions.
Entering the last 6 months of the year, the Group continues to be steadfast in its goal of 8% growth in 2025 - a difficult task but of pivotal significance for the 2026-2030 period with double-digit growth aspirations.
General Director Nguyen Huu Tu affirmed that in the last 6 months of the year, the Group will focus on developing the market, promoting internal consumption, ensuring product supply, effectively implementing tasks according to Resolution 57 and paying special attention to labor safety. At the same time, actively preparing for the 2026-2030 plan with the goal of higher growth, including paying attention to training staff, honoring creative workers, improving income and working conditions.
