On July 28, in Ben Tre ward, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 35th anniversary of cooperation between Vinh Long and the Vietnam-Japan Children's Assistance Association (SVCA).

In recent times, SVCA has had many programs to support children. Specifically, it has supported the construction of the Provincial School for Children with Disabilities, invested in 51 physical therapy rooms in communes and wards; supported equipment, provided professional training for teachers and medical staff; organized rehabilitation programs, heart examinations, newborn care and many other specialized activities.
In 2023 alone, SVCA supported 16,000 USD to carry out rehabilitation activities, print medical handbooks, purchase equipment to support children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital and develop documents on caring for underweight and disabled newborns...
Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee expressed gratitude for the meaningful and humane contributions of SVCA throughout the journey of caring for and rehabilitating disabled children in the locality.
“The SVCA’s contributions in terms of effort, intelligence and finance are enormous, but what is more valuable is the humanistic value that the association brings. That is the belief, joy and hope for disabled children to integrate into the community” - Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Be Muoi emphasized. Thereby, the Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations are requested to support Vietnamese children; proactively connect and promote cooperation between Vinh Long province and Japanese organizations in the coming time.
