Vinh Phuc strives to make tourism a spearhead economic sector

Located entirely in the geographical and cultural transition zone from the mountainous and midland areas of the Northwest to the Southeast plains of the Red River Delta, Vinh Phuc is favored by nature with its mountainous, plain and midland landscapes.

As a locality with rich tourism potential, Vinh Phuc currently has more than 1,400 historical and cultural relics, with 533 ranked relics, of which 69 are national relics including 6 special national relics, 63 national relics and 464 provincial relics.

This land is also famous for its unique cultural heritages that have been recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritages such as the Tay Thien Mother Goddess worship, the Song Huong Canh Festival, and the Ngu Doi Temple Water Procession Festival.

In addition, in Vinh Phuc province, there are currently 19 traditional craft villages with a variety of occupations from bamboo and rattan weaving, pottery, stone carving, carpentry, folk games and many local specialties, creating great attraction for tourists.

Natural and cultural advantages have helped Vinh Phuc not only become a favorite destination for domestic tourists but also be mentioned on the world tourism map.

On January 25, 2022, Vinh Phuc was honored to be recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Tourist Area. On November 11, 2022 in Muscat, Oman, the World Travel Awards honored Tam Dao Town as the "World's Leading Tourist Town 2022". In 2024, Tam Dao Town continued to receive the "World's Leading Destination Town" award from the World Travel Awards. Previously, the luxury resort Flamingo Dai Lai Resort was also rated by Designboom.com magazine as one of the top 10 most beautiful resorts in the world in 2014.

Increase investment and develop tourism infrastructure

Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 sets the goal that by 2025, Vinh Phuc will become one of the industrial, service and tourism centers of the region and the whole country.

To gradually realize this goal, Vinh Phuc province has approved the planning of 6 key tourist service areas such as Tam Dao, Dai Lai, Tay Thien, and implemented many investment projects to build tourism infrastructure using state budget sources.

From 2015 to present, Vinh Phuc has spent 2,577 billion VND of state budget capital investing in infrastructure in tourist areas.

Along with that, the province also creates all favorable conditions for businesses to invest in tourism development. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, a total of 40 projects of investors and a number of investment works in the tourism sector have been granted investment licenses with a total registered capital of over VND 21,162 billion, of which VND 11,336 billion has been implemented, reaching 55% of the committed capital.

Some typical projects include Flamigo Dai Lai Project, meeting 5-star standards with a total registered investment capital of over VND 4,630 billion, Tam Dao II Project of SunGroup Corporation with a total investment capital of phase 1 of VND 2,987 billion, Thanh Xuan Valley Vinh Phuc Project with a total investment capital of over VND 300 billion; Grand Victory Tam Dao Hotel with a total investment capital of VND 250 billion.

The province will prioritize tourism investment projects, focusing on developing tourism types with potential and competitive advantages to form key tourist areas with the best service quality, diverse tourism products, and build Vinh Phuc province into one of the strategic locations in the tourism network of the country and the region.

The province is always ready to welcome domestic and foreign businesses and investors to learn about and invest in Vinh Phuc tourism. The province will continue to strive to improve and build an attractive and open investment and business cooperation environment, always listening and accompanying businesses to promote tourism development.

In 2024, Vinh Phuc tourism welcomed 10 million 600 thousand visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching 4 trillion VND.

With the current growth momentum and sustainable development strategy, Vinh Phuc has every reason to expect to achieve the target of welcoming 12 million visitors and revenue of more than VND 4,500 billion in 2025, gradually affirming its position as an attractive destination in the Northern Delta region.
