Not only is it the first “5 in 1” exhibition in history, Vietnam Industry and Technology Week 2025 (VITW 2025) organized by the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) also opens a new era for Vietnam’s industry and technology. According to experts, with the establishment of VEC, Vietnam now has a platform to connect businesses, inspire creativity and affirm the country’s position on the global exhibition industry map.
From infrastructure "pain" to national pride
“This is the first time the Vietnam Door Association has organized a truly specialized exhibition,” Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice President and General Secretary of the Association, shared when participating in VITW 2025 at VEC.
The Vietnamese door market is estimated to reach 590 - 600 million USD/year. The Door Association also gathers hundreds of businesses. However, for many years, businesses have only confined themselves to small-scale product exhibitions and introductions.
“The door industry requires simulating real projects to showcase products, but the exhibition infrastructure has never been able to meet that requirement,” Mr. Dung explained. “Enterprises that want to invest heavily have no opportunity.”

VITW 2025 is the first "5 in 1" exhibition in history, providing a panoramic view of Vietnam's industry and technology as well as the latest trends in the world .
Looking at the world, Mr. Dung said he could not help but feel sad when countries were able to organize large-scale and classy exhibitions. Mr. Dung called the gap in exhibition infrastructure over the past decades a "pain", stifling the big dreams of businesses. An exhibition space with a scale of more than 80,000 m2 of display area like the event organized by VEC this time is unprecedented for participating businesses.
“This is not just a business matter but a matter of national prestige,” said Mr. Dung. “The establishment of VEC has both resolved the decades-long pain and aroused pride that Vietnam has been able to organize specialized exhibition events at an international level.”
For VietBuild, the largest construction and materials exhibition brand in Vietnam, VITW 2025 at VEC is also a memorable milestone.

VITW 2025 marks the strong return of Vietnam's exhibition industry.
After more than 20 years of working in the exhibition industry, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Chairman of VietBuild, is still struggling to "break up" the industry's big festival into many sessions each year, because there is no venue large enough to accommodate thousands of multi-field booths.
According to Mr. Hung, with VEC, exhibitors can rest assured to exhibit in a world-class space, professionally operated, with a full service and utility ecosystem. Here, businesses not only introduce products, but also have the opportunity to connect and expand cooperation domestically and internationally.
“This is a long-standing dream of VietBuild that only VEC can make come true,” Mr. Hung shared.
Not only is it a launching pad for domestic enterprises, VITW 2025 also proves VEC’s prestige and cross-border connectivity capacity by conquering CMES. The leading international exhibition brand, gathering original equipment manufacturers from the global machine tool and smart manufacturing industries, has chosen VITW 2025 as its first destination outside of China.
“This is the first time CMES has gone abroad and chosen VEC because we see it as a modern exhibition complex with international standard operating capacity, arguably the leading one in Southeast Asia, and an economy that is changing strongly. We will definitely come back,” affirmed Mr. Wang Guoping, Chairman of Huamo Group - the organizer of CMES.

Business Matching is a unique initiative of VEC, connecting businesses on the spot and creating a foundation for long-term strategic relationships.
A big boost for Vietnam's industry and technology
From the experience of China - a country that has risen to become the "factory of the world" thanks to its manufacturing industry and developed exhibition system - Mr. Wang believes that Vietnam has a great opportunity.
“With bold development goals, Vietnam needs to access the world’s modern industrial technologies and machinery. Events like VITW 2025 organized by VEC are the trading platforms that help make that happen,” the CMES organizer believes.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung commented that the presence of nearly 750 booths from hundreds of domestic and foreign enterprises at VITW 2025 recreates a vibrant picture of the Vietnamese economy. This positive atmosphere will strengthen businesses' confidence in the country's rise. When businesses have confidence and motivation, the resonant development will spread across all industries, boosting the entire economy.
“This is not just a place to display products, but also a place to create opportunities and nurture aspirations for development,” Mr. Dung added.
Mr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science and Technology , Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association, emphasized that the exhibition industry plays a strategic role in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country. A strong industry cannot lack a strong exhibition industry. In any country, prestigious exhibitions attract leading manufacturers and innovators. From here, the spirit of creativity and innovation will spread strongly, both in businesses and management agencies, research institutes, universities...

According to former Minister Nguyen Quan, the establishment of VEC and events like VITW 2025 create a “convergence address” to help Vietnamese enterprises access technology, partners and international markets right at home. This is especially meaningful in the context of Vietnam promoting the development of high-tech industries, from semiconductors, robots, to high-speed railways and nuclear power.
“At VITW 2025, many foreign enterprises bring technologies that Vietnam needs to access and master for key industries. This is a great opportunity for Vietnam not only to learn to develop its industrial and technological sector, but also to gradually participate in the global production chain,” the former Minister of Science and Technology emphasized.
