Following yesterday's positive performance, the market fluctuated within a narrow range around the reference level this morning as investors reduced trading intensity. By lunchtime, the VN-Index had fallen 1.79 points, settling at 1,677.39 points.
In the afternoon session, the market initially continued to move slowly. However, at 2:30 PM, selling pressure intensified sharply, pushing the VN-Index down by 28 points, below the 1,660 point mark. Subsequently, improved buying pressure helped narrow the decline.

At the close of the session, the VN-Index stood at 1,673.66 points, down 5.52 points (-0.33%); the VN30-Index fell to 1,897.95 points, down 11.92 points (-0.62%).
Market breadth leaned towards negative as the number of declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks. Across the entire exchange, 206 stocks fell, while only 114 rose. In the VN30 basket, the number of declining stocks was more than three times the number of rising stocks (21 declining stocks compared to 6 rising stocks).
With supply dominating, the sectors experiencing declines were slightly larger, but the fluctuations in stock prices were not too significant.

Conversely, VPL had the most positive impact, contributing 1.63 points to the VN-Index; followed by GEE (1.1 points), BID (1.03 points), etc.
Liquidity remained low, with nearly 20 trillion VND changing hands. Foreign investors traded in a balanced manner, buying over 2,490 billion VND and selling nearly 2,488 billion VND.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the close of trading, the HNX-Index stood at 253.12 points, down 1.96 points (-0.77%); the HNX30-Index fell 6.47 points (-1.18%), to 542.46 points. Total trading volume reached 920 billion VND.
