Volkswagen Golf opens for sale in Vietnam, "fixed price" from 798 million VND

The new generation Volkswagen Golf 2025 hothatch model has officially opened for sale in Vietnam with 6 versions and 3 transmission options, with prices starting at 798 million VND.

The new 2025 Volkswagen Golf is a hothatch, a hatchback that has been tuned to be a combination of high performance and practicality. The car is imported directly from Germany with 3 different powertrain options.

Of which, the 3 Golf 1.5 eTSI versions use a 1.5L gasoline engine combined with a mild-hybrid electric motor, maximum capacity of 148 horsepower and maximum torque of 250 Nm. All 3 versions are equipped with an R-Line sports steering wheel and a newly designed gearshift control cluster.

The car has a 10.3-inch multi-color digital clock, 10-inch entertainment screen, 30-color interior ambient lighting, R-line sports seats, high-end Harman Kardon sound system, 3-zone Climatronic air conditioning, air filter, HUD screen on the windshield and carbon-style dashboard.

The VW Golf 1.5 eTSI R-Line version is equipped with IQ LED matrix headlights, front bumper and spoiler, and 18-inch Bergamo sports wheels.

Both Golf GTI versions use a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, with a maximum capacity of 242 horsepower and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. Comes with a new generation 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.

The VW Golf GTI is equipped with a variable-ratio steering wheel and GTI braking system. Notable amenities include a Harman Kardon premium speaker system, sunroof, 10-inch Discover Pro screen, Digital Cockpit central clock, 3-zone Climatronic air conditioning...

The differences between the GTI versions and the 3 1.5 eTSI versions are the characteristic GTI sports steering wheel, red-stitched sports seats, GTI logo, new electronic gear lever, X-shaped fog lights, dual exhaust pipes and red brake calipers.

The most notable version is the VW Golf R Performance 4Motion. This is a true sports version and is also a direct competitor to the Honda Civic Type R model currently sold in Vietnam.

The exterior of the VW Golf R Performance 4Motion also has many differences compared to the remaining versions. The headlights are still IQ Light LED Matrix but with the addition of a characteristic blue line connecting to the VW logo. The "R" symbol stands out on the radiator grille and many other positions. The air intake grille, front and rear bumpers are designed specifically for the R version. R exhaust system with dual exhaust pipes on the left and right. High-performance brake calipers in R-Performance blue.

Highlights of the interior include the R-Performance sports steering wheel with blue backlit R button and large shift paddles, the signature R-View central instrument cluster, sports seats with integrated headrests and R logo, stainless steel pedals and footrests, and R-specific blue trim.

The high-performance Golf R Performance 4Motion version uses a 2.0 TSI gasoline engine, maximum capacity of 315 horsepower and maximum torque of 420, maximum speed of 250 km/h. Comes with 4Motion X all-wheel drive system and DSG X dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Volkswagen Vietnam said that customers can now deposit for the high-performance Golf model. The deposit fee for the VW Golf model ranges from 50 to 100 million VND depending on the version.
