In its third season, DANAFF is accompanied by Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( VPBank ) as Diamond Sponsor, promising to create a professional festival while bringing smart financial solutions to the community.
The Da Nang Asian Film Festival is held annually in Da Nang City by the Vietnam Film Promotion and Development Association (VFDA) and the Da Nang City People's Committee. The festival aims to select and honor outstanding film works and encourage new talents in Vietnamese and Asian cinema.
Over the first two years, DANAFF has achieved many impressive achievements, contributing to building the Vietnamese cinema brand, while promoting the image of Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular to the world .
Compared to the previous two seasons, DANAFF III has made remarkable progress in terms of scale, duration and program content. Accordingly, DANAFF III will increase the official duration to 7 days with the participation of 24 countries and territories. The total number of films selected for the festival programs is more than 100 (a sharp increase compared to 46 films of DANAFF I and 63 films of DANAFF II); the number of film screenings has increased to about 200 (compared to 100 of the previous season).
A special feature of DANAFF III is the “Asian Cinema Panorama” program - a selection of outstanding and successful Asian cinema works at international film festivals in the past year, along with films premiering for the first time. This year also marks the appearance of the “Asian Film Critics Award” in the “Asian Cinema Panorama” program.
Within the framework of the film festival, for the first time there is the program “DANAFF Talents” - DANAFF Cinema Potential Talents. The program includes training and connection activities, developing film projects for young, promising talents in the field of cinema with the theme “Nurturing talent” in acting, “Project Incubator” for filmmakers.
Along with the talent support activities, a seminar on "Discovering and nurturing film talents: International experience and Vietnam's solutions" was also held with the participation of leading lecturers, artists and experts in the field of film and training to discuss strategies for developing high-quality human resources for the film industry in the context of integration.
One of the festival's key programs is the screening of selected films "Half a century of Vietnamese films about war" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification, introducing 22 typical, selected works about war, produced after 1975.
There will also be a seminar on “Vietnam’s war films since the country’s reunification”; a meeting and conversation program between the audience and famous artists, war filmmakers of different generations...

The 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival has two film categories, including 14 films in the Asian Film category and 12 films in the Vietnamese Film category.
