VTV Special “Nguyen Ai Quoc, Ho Chi Minh – The journey to find the shape of the Country” looks back at the great values in the life and career of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh on the path of the Vietnamese people's struggle for independence, freedom, peace , unification, democracy and prosperity based on Vietnamese and international archival sources.

In the minds of many Vietnamese people and international friends, President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Man is a revolutionary who sacrificed his whole life for the cause of fighting to regain independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people.
He traveled all over the world, working, studying, learning and directly absorbing the values and quintessence of humanity in the 20th century. The places he passed through left their mark and value in the history of human development and of Vietnam.

The film “Nguyen Ai Quoc, Ho Chi Minh - The Journey to Find the Shape of the Country” was produced by the Foreign Television Department (Vietnam Television). The film reflects the international perspective on the leader of the Vietnamese people, on the path he chose for the nation: National independence associated with socialism, through the opinions of historians and international experts researching Vietnam.
The Foreign Television Department once sent a crew to film and obtain documentary images about President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in France and China. After the research process, the crew learned that there is currently a valuable amount of secret documents about President Ho Chi Minh in Russia and the United States that have been declassified. Therefore, the Foreign Television Department requested permission to film and access the documents in these two locations.

Soviet Russia – the homeland of the October Revolution, the country of the great Lenin – is where President Ho Chi Minh spent the longest time, a total of more than 6 years. Stories about this important period are told through archival documents in many Russian cities and the perspective of international experts.
The film will also bring to the audience touching, little-known stories about the short time Uncle Ho worked in the US. The film crew searched for and collected original documents from archives, museums, and libraries in many places around the world and in Vietnam with the desire to bring to the audience the most authentic emotions, especially documents written directly by Uncle Ho or with his handwriting.
With multi-dimensional perspectives from international and Vietnamese scholars and researchers, VTV Special “Nguyen Ai Quoc, Ho Chi Minh – The journey to find the shape of the Country” clearly depicts the personality, ideology and life of President Ho Chi Minh.
The message that the film conveys is an affirmation of a lasting belief: Today's and future generations will continue to firmly follow the path that He and the nation have chosen, realizing the aspiration to build a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.
