The case of the newly inaugurated bridge approach road collapsing: The contractor has many headquarters in Tay Ninh

According to information from the Chau Thanh District Electronic Information Portal (Tay Ninh), the contractor for the Hoa Binh Bridge construction is Vu Hoan Company Limited. The new Hoa Binh Bridge construction project has a total designed length of 450m with a cross-section width of 12m, with a total investment of nearly 38 billion VND.

In the decision approving the contractor selection results signed by the leaders of the Chau Thanh District Construction Investment Project Management Board on May 9, 2024, Vu Hoan Company Limited was identified as the winning bidder for the Hoa Binh Bridge construction package. The capital source is from the Tay Ninh provincial budget and Chau Thanh district budget. This unit won the bid for the bridge construction package and traffic assurance during the construction process with a winning bid price of more than 24.4 billion VND, implemented within 360 days; lump-sum contract form.

Vu Hoan Company Limited was established in 2014 in Tay Ninh province with business fields including consulting, construction design, survey, establishment, project management, construction of civil and industrial works... with Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoan as the legal representative. This company has constructed many projects and headquarters in Tay Ninh province.

As reported by CAND Newspaper, Tay Ninh Provincial Police are coordinating with relevant agencies to investigate and request appraisals to clarify the quality of the seriously subsided construction to handle the case according to the provisions of law. The Vietnam Road Administration also requested the Tay Ninh Department of Construction to guide or advise the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee to direct the district-level People's Committees, relevant agencies and units to repair the damage to the Hoa Binh Bridge in Chau Thanh District to ensure safe and smooth traffic.
