According to a report sent to the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district ( Hanoi ), a representative of Ngo Thi Nham Primary School said that since the beginning of the school year, the school has disseminated the school year's tasks, regulations in general and environmental sanitation work in particular to parents.

Accordingly, janitors are assigned to clean common areas such as toilets and schoolyards; students maintain daily classroom cleaning routines to be aware of maintaining public hygiene and practice soft skills in sharing work with family and society.

After learning about the incident where a teacher assigned parents to be on duty in the classroom, the school reviewed the information and determined that teacher NTU, homeroom teacher of class 1A5, had been texting back and forth on the class's Zalo group, but the way the conversation and implementation were not in accordance with the school's policy, causing parents to be upset and have their opinions reflected.

Immediately afterwards, the school asked teachers to write a report and held a meeting of the pedagogical council to inform all staff and teachers that when exchanging and providing information to parents, they must ensure compliance with the school's policies.

The school affirmed that after this incident, it will strengthen guidance and direction for staff and teachers on skills of exchanging information with parents to create sharing, consensus, and support with the school in all activities.

Previously, VietNamNet reported that parents of students at Ngo Thi Nham Primary School (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) expressed their anger and surprise when the homeroom teacher assigned them to be on duty at 5:00 p.m. every day.

“The teacher said that first graders have difficulty cleaning their classrooms, so some classes spend 500,000 VND/month to hire school janitors to clean. If the class does not hire janitors, the teacher will assign parents to be on duty,” one parent reported.
