TPO - Regarding the case of a teacher who was cleared of wrongful transfer after 9 years, many people involved, including former leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu and former leaders of Bac Lieu Specialized High School at that time, did not agree with the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Bac Lieu province. They said that there were some issues that were only known when the conclusion was announced.

On July 26, the leader of the Department of Education and Training (DoET) of Ca Mau province said that during the announcement of the conclusion of the accusation yesterday afternoon (July 25), many related people did not agree with the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Bac Lieu province. The related people invited to attend this announcement were the former director, deputy director of the former Bac Lieu Department of Education and Training, and the former leader of Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted.

“Relevant people said that there were some problems that were only known when the conclusions were implemented. The Department also instructed them to make an explanatory report and send it to the competent authority for consideration,” the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province added.

Regarding teacher Nguyen Van Thuyet (the teacher who was cleared of wrongdoing after 9 years of being transferred from Bac Lieu Specialized High School, which was not in accordance with regulations), he said that this was the announcement of the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province (old), and requested to follow this conclusion, without any further comments.

At the announcement of the above conclusion, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau invited 8 former Directors and Deputy Directors of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province "involved" at the time of the violations to attend, including: Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Ho Quang Huy, Truong Cong Lap (former Directors of the Department); Mr. Ngo Doan Nguyen, Trac Van Day, Nguyen Van Hao, Vo Thanh Giang and Mr. Duong Hong Tan (former Deputy Director of the Department).

Also invited to attend were three former leaders of Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted at the time of the wrongdoing: Ms. Phu Thi Cam (former Principal); Mr. Do Thanh Han and Mr. Truong Cong Phuc (former Vice Principal).

Previously, as Tien Phong reported, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued a document assigning the Director of the Department of Home Affairs and Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to continue implementing the conclusion on handling the content of the accusation that the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province (now Ca Mau province) violated regulations.

According to the conclusion of the accusation of the People's Committee of the former Bac Lieu province, in 2016, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, a teacher at Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted, was transferred to Bac Lieu High School by the Department of Education and Training. Because the school assessed Mr. Thuyet as having been classified as Average for two consecutive years (according to high school teacher standards).

After Mr. Thuyet complained, the Provincial People's Committee investigated and concluded that the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu Province (formerly Bac Lieu) had transferred Mr. Thuyet to another position in violation of regulations. "The principal (at the time of the complaint) showed signs of bullying teachers, abusing his position and authority to commit acts that violated regulations," the conclusion stated. Specifically, the school's professional team still rated Mr. Thuyet as Excellent, but the principal of the specialized school at that time arbitrarily downgraded him to Average.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also pointed out that in 2016, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province transferred 2 teachers to Bac Lieu Specialized High School without passing the entrance exam, and another teacher who taught from 2003 to 2011 did not have a secondary, college, or university degree in pedagogy (not in accordance with regulations).

The Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province (after merging with Bac Lieu) continue to be assigned to clarify the responsibilities, nature and level of violations of each collective and individual involved; and to take disciplinary action according to regulations against the leaders of the Department and the Principal of Bac Lieu Specialized High School at the time of the violation.
