On the morning of June 9, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Vu Thu district to organize a training conference to improve the capacity of staff, employees and collaborators at the grassroots level on skills and methods of care and rehabilitation for people with mental illness, autistic children and people with mental disorders based on the community in 2023.

Over 300 delegates who are members of the council for determining the level of disability at the commune level and collaborators at the grassroots level were disseminated and provided with information and knowledge related to autism spectrum disorder - a type of developmental disorder characterized by two main defects in social communication and repetitive behaviors and interests. Delegates were disseminated the cause of most autism cases due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors; clarified some common information and misunderstandings about the cause, manifestations, and treatment of autism spectrum disorder. Early signs of autism spectrum disorder and the role, screening methods, and diagnosis for children with autism spectrum disorder.
In addition, delegates were trained in basic knowledge and skills to care for and rehabilitate mentally ill people, autistic children and people with mental disorders based on the community.
Through the conference, the staff, employees and collaborators at the facility will improve their knowledge and skills, thereby caring for and supporting people with autism spectrum disorders at home and in the community more effectively, helping them improve their quality of life and reduce social pressure caused by autism spectrum disorders.
