The functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command escorted the ship QB 96679 TS to the port of Squadron 421/Flotilla 42.
At the time of inspection, there were 5 crew members on board, with Mr. Vo Hoai Hau (born 1980; residing in My Tho ward, Dong Thap province) as captain.
Mr. Hau confessed that the fishing boat was transporting about 260,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the legal origin of the goods. If the transport was successful, the oil would be sold to other fishing boats operating at sea.
The functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command have drawn up a record of temporary detention of the vehicle, sealed the goods and organized the escort of the vehicle to the port of Squadron 421/Flotilla 42 in Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
These are consecutive achievements of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command when in just 2 days, July 27 and 28, they discovered and arrested 2 ships illegally transporting DO oil in the Southwest sea with a total quantity of over 300,000 liters.
