Bach Ma National Park was established in 1991. By 2008, Bach Ma National Park was adjusted and expanded with a total area from 22,031ha to 37,487ha. Investigation and statistical results show that Bach Ma National Park has a very rich flora and fauna with 2,421 plant species (including 74 species in the 2007 Vietnam Red Book, 20 species listed in the 2016 IUCN List and 204 endemic species) and 1,728 animal species (including 70 species in the 2007 Vietnam Red Book, 52 species in the 2016 IUCN List and 15 endemic species).
