According to GameRant , after nearly a week since its launch, the open -world RPG Where Winds Meet ( Chinese name: Yan Yun Shi Liu Qing ), developed by Everstone Studio, has surpassed 2 million players in its first 24 hours. Despite launching at the same time as blockbusters like Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders , the game has made a strong impression thanks to its martial arts-themed open world and free-to-play model. In China alone, the number of players has exceeded 15 million in just a few months, and the Western market is also witnessing rapid growth.

Where Winds Meet reached over 2 million players in 24 hours, ranking among the top 5 most played games on Steam.

To show appreciation to players, Everstone Studio announces a free giveaway of 10 Lingering Melody, the premium in-game currency, to all logged-in accounts. Additionally, the Swords Unseen event has been adjusted to increase rewards, encouraging players to visit the event page to claim valuable items.
In their latest blog post, Everstone Studio shared both the positives and challenges of the launch process. Community feedback was noted as a crucial factor in helping the development team address lag and network connectivity issues. However, the single-player mode still suffers from lag, which is expected to be fixed in a mid-December update. Other improvements have been implemented, such as UI tweaks, character creation options, a beginner's tutorial, and puzzle hints.
The company also announced plans for future updates, including improvements to translation quality and multilingual support. The PlayStation 5 version will feature upgraded frame rates, increased stability, and improved graphics. The Steam Deck system is also receiving attention, with several patches expected in the next two months to optimize the user experience.
