On August 24, 2025, the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture officially opened pre-sale for the Wuling Bingo S small electric SUV in the Chinese market. This model has 4 equipment versions and the opening price ranges from 68,800 - 81,800 yuan (about 241 - 286 million VND). Wuling Bingo S is essentially a more advanced version of the Bingo low-cost electric vehicle line currently sold in many markets, including Vietnam. At the same time, this is the third version of this vehicle line, after Bingo and Bingo Plus.
Similar to Bingo currently sold in Vietnam, Wuling Bingo S also applies a rounded and smooth design language. The car has a closed front end, round headlights and trapezoidal air intakes below. The rear of the car comes with a high-mounted brake light and a taillight cluster connecting the two sides. Although it is an electric car, the Wuling Bingo S still uses conventional door handles. In addition, there are black painted pillars, giving the car a floating roof effect, and 16-inch alloy wheels. When buying this car, Chinese customers can choose from 4 exterior colors: gray, blue, purple and white. 18-inch wheels are optional equipment of the car. Wuling Bingo S has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,265 x 1,785 x 1,600 mm and a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. The vehicle's unladen weight ranges from 1,250 - 1,325 kg, depending on the version. Inside this low-cost electric vehicle is an interior space designed to surround the passengers. Customers can choose from two interior color schemes: soft white and warm brown. In front of the driver appears a digital dashboard with an 8.88-inch LCD screen and a 12.8-inch central touch screen, combined with a multi-function steering wheel. The center console is arranged with 2 flexible cup holders, and also integrates a 50W wireless phone charger with standard cooling function.
Other vehicle amenities include a 6-way manual driver's seat, a 4-way manual passenger seat, AI voice assistant, a 6-speaker sound system, keyless start, and remote control via mobile phone. Not only convenient, the interior is also practical with 25 storage compartments scattered throughout. In addition, there are convenient hooks and storage compartments attached to the door handles, helping to neatly arrange small everyday items. The luggage compartment is designed in a concave shape and when the rear seats are folded down, the storage capacity is expanded to a maximum of 1,450 liters. The "heart" of the Wuling Bingo S is a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor located on the front axle.
The engine block produces a maximum output of 75 kW (101 hp) and a maximum torque of 180 Nm. The vehicle uses LFP batteries with a capacity of 31.9 kWh and 41.9 kWh, for an operating range of 325 km and 430 km respectively according to the CLTC test cycle in China. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 150 km/h. If using DC fast charging, the charging time from 30% to 80% is 35 minutes. With AC slow charging, the charging time from 20% to 100% is 9.5 hours (325 km version) and 6.5 hours (430 km version). It is not yet clear whether Wuling Bingo S will be sold in the Vietnamese market in the future. Meanwhile, Wuling Bingo is also being officially distributed in Vietnam with 4 versions and prices ranging from 349 - 569 million VND.
