Bang Huu Commune receives certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- - On April 22, Bang Huu commune, Chi Lang district held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards (NTM) in 2024.

Bang Huu Commune is a particularly difficult commune of Chi Lang District, 19 km from the district center. The commune has 6 villages, 628 households with 2,857 people.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment awarded the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the NTM standards to Bang Huu commune.

In 2024, Bang Huu commune was selected by the province as a pilot commune striving to meet the new rural standards. To achieve the set goals, in addition to the State's investment resources, the People's Committee of Bang Huu commune has coordinated with relevant agencies to promote propaganda and mobilize the participation and contribution of local people. Thereby, people have donated more than 13,500 m2 of land, contributed 700 million VND and more than 5,100 working days to join hands to implement the new rural criteria.

Up to now, 100% of the commune's main roads, 100% of the village, alley and hamlet main roads have been hardened and concreted; 100% of households have regular and safe access to electricity; the whole commune has no temporary or dilapidated houses. Along with that, the commune's medical facilities are equipped to ensure medical examination and treatment; schools, cultural houses and markets have been invested in and built to create favorable conditions for people's daily life and production development;   The average income per capita of the commune reached 45.99 million VND/person/year; the multidimensional poverty rate of the commune decreased to 12.1%. By the end of 2024, Bang Huu commune had completed 19/19 NTM criteria.

In the coming time, Bang Huu commune will continue to improve its leadership capacity, promote the role of associations, unions, and party members to build an increasingly clean and strong political system from commune to village. At the same time, the commune will continue to strengthen propaganda, mobilize the joint efforts of the people as well as other resources to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria that have been met, develop production models to increase income for the people, build a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape of village roads and alleys; gradually implement the criteria of an advanced new-style rural commune.
