The first commune in Dak Nong meets the new rural model standard in education

On May 8, the People's Committee of Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong) held a ceremony to announce Nhan Co commune meeting the model new rural standards in education.

By the end of 2024, Nhan Co commune will have 100% of schools at all levels meeting national standards level 1. The commune maintains and improves the quality of universal education.

Nhan Co has achieved the standard of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, universal primary and secondary education at level 3 - the highest level currently. At the same time, the locality has also been recognized as achieving the standard of eliminating illiteracy at level 2.

In addition to improving the quality of teaching and learning, schools in the commune also focus on comprehensive development for students through extracurricular activities, arts, sports and life skills education.

The attention of local authorities and authorities, along with the efforts of the education sector and the community, has turned Nhan Co commune into one of the bright spots in education in rural Dak Nong.

In building new rural areas, by the end of 2024, Nhan Co commune had completed 100% of the criteria for building a model new rural commune according to the set of new rural criteria for the 2021-2025 period.

Nhan Co's average income per capita in 2024 will reach VND 80,047 million; the poverty rate will decrease to below 1.2%.

In the production sector, the commune currently has 6 OCOP products meeting 3-star standards, 2 units with durian growing area codes for export to China, 1 cooperative and 12 effectively operating farms.

Industry and trade - services are strongly developed with 90 enterprises having revenue and nearly 1,000 individual businesses.

Village 3 of the commune has been selected as a model of “smart village” with 96% of households having fiber optic or 4G internet; more than 85% of people have citizen identification cards and smartphones with VNeID installed; all businesses here apply electronic payments, digital invoices, and online public services.

Dak R'lap district rewards individuals and groups with many contributions to the construction of new rural areas in Nhan Co commune in recent times.

The results achieved in building new rural areas are an important foundation contributing to building a comprehensive model new rural commune in the coming time.
