O Dien Commune: Many residential areas were deeply flooded, 363 hectares of rice and crops were affected.

On the afternoon of September 30, in O Dien commune, many places were flooded deeply, such as: Tan Tay Do urban area, Tan Hoi B Kindergarten, Lien Ha Kindergarten flooded from 30 to 50cm deep, especially the Trung Vo bridge on provincial road 422 was flooded 80cm deep. The flooded production area in the commune is about 363ha, of which 113ha of rice, 60ha of vegetables, 190ha of flowers.

According to Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Dien Commune, Pham Van Khoi, the commune continues to direct departments, offices, villages, residential clusters, residential groups... to regularly inspect, grasp the situation and promptly overcome incidents; mobilize forces for natural disaster prevention and control, including: Militia, Youth Union, Women's Union... to be ready to handle situations arising from the impact of storm No. 10.

O Dien Commune is also focusing on buffer drainage, reinforcing irrigation works, preventing and combating natural disasters; requesting Vinhomes - CP Group to implement drainage solutions for the construction area of ​​the Green City project; coordinating with Dan Hoai Irrigation Development Investment Enterprise to operate Thuong Mo pumping station to drain water from Tien Tan beach area for Ha Mo and Hong Ha areas; organizing to ensure traffic safety on traffic routes, placing warning signs to limit travel in deeply flooded areas of Trung Vo bridge, cleaning up trash and obstacles in drainage canals.

Currently, the water level of the Red River is rising, O Dien commune has informed people living along the river and organizations and individuals involved in production, business and mineral exploitation activities to promptly respond. In particular, 9 households living on the river have been mobilized to anchor their boats and move ashore for shelter.
