Son Binh Commune held a ceremony to receive the new rural commune standard in 2024.

On the morning of December 27, the Party Committee, government and people of Son Binh commune (Khanh Son district) held a ceremony to announce the decision to recognize Son Binh commune as meeting new rural standards in 2024. Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the provincial departments and branches, there were Mr. Le Ba Ninh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Huynh Manh Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; on behalf of the leaders of Khanh Son district, there were Mr. Bui Hoai Nam - Secretary of the District Party Committee; Ms. Mau Thi Thi - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Dinh Van Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Son district.

Authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Ba Ninh and Mr. Bui Hoai Nam presented certificates of recognition and flowers to congratulate Son Binh commune on achieving new rural standards in 2024.

Son Binh Commune is a mountainous commune with a low starting point in Khanh Son District; starting to build a new rural area in 2011, the locality has only achieved 9/19 criteria for building a new rural area. After 13 years of building a new rural area, the locality has achieved 19/19 criteria for building a new rural area and has been recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the new rural area standards in 2024. This is a proud achievement of the locality when it has reached the New Rural Area target 1 year earlier than the target set by the Resolution of the Khanh Son District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and is one of the first two communes in Khanh Son District to meet the new rural area standards. Son Binh Commune is also a typical locality of Khanh Son District in mobilizing people's contributions to invest in building a new rural area; especially in building infrastructure when the rate of inter-commune roads being asphalted and concreted reaches 100%; 100% of village and hamlet roads are concreted, 100% of main roads in the fields are solidified; the rate of solidified canals is 100%... Rural traffic works and canals in the fields have been invested in and built, creating conditions for farmers to develop production, and the annual durian yield is high compared to other localities in the district. The locality has also created favorable conditions for production and business establishments to operate and develop, contributing to job creation and increasing the income of local people. Up to now, the rate of regular employment in the commune has reached over 80%; the average income per capita has reached 47,340 million VND/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 11.2%... The results achieved in 2024 will be the premise and motivation for Son Binh commune to strive to complete the task of building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dong - Vice Chairman of Khanh Son District People's Committee believed that with the local revolutionary tradition, the Party Committee, government and people of Son Binh commune will continue to unite, be creative, make efforts, continue to achieve more outstanding achievements, build Son Binh commune to be more and more prosperous, making important contributions to the cause of sustainable development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas of Khanh Son district. The leaders of Khanh Son District People's Committee also hope that the locality will continue to maintain and improve the achieved new rural criteria and immediately start building and striving to bring Son Binh commune to meet advanced new rural standards in the coming time.

On this occasion, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded a certificate of recognition for new rural areas to Son Binh commune; awarded a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the people and officials of Son Binh commune for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" in 2024. Khanh Son District People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives, 1 household and 5 individuals; Son Binh Commune People's Committee rewarded 2 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas".
