Suoi Hiep Commune: Evacuate 18 households with 51 people from locations at risk of landslides and deep flooding.

On the afternoon of November 19, Mr. Vo Van Toan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Suoi Hiep commune said that the commune had evacuated 18 households with 51 people from areas at risk of landslides and deep flooding in Xuan Phu 1, Cu Thanh, Vinh Cat, and Dai Huu villages to safe shelters.

People of Suoi Hiep commune in areas at risk of severe flooding were taken to safe shelters by rescue forces.

Currently, it is still raining, the water has not receded, the commune is still checking to continue to evacuate households in areas at high risk of flooding. The whole commune has about 1 hectare of riverside crops and ducks that were washed away by the flood, some trees were broken and uprooted; some roads along Kinh River have signs of subsidence, 1 electric pole fell in Luong Phuoc village. At Suoi Ba Nen location, Xuan Phu 2 village, there was a landslide on the stream bank (this area has not been invested in building a reinforced embankment); there are 2 locations of Hon Du mountain in Hoi Xuong village and mountain group 5 in Cu Thanh village that are at high risk of landslides.
