Construction of Hanoi Medical University's 3,150 billion facility in Bac Ninh

According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Electronic Information Portal, recently, leaders of the Ministry of Health , Hanoi Medical University and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province held a conference to deploy the project to build a facility of Hanoi Medical University in Bac Ninh Province.

The project to build a campus of Hanoi Medical University in Bac Ninh province has been introduced by the Provincial People's Committee with an area of ​​about 30 hectares, belonging to the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Application Research Training Area (Tien Du District).

The project aims to develop a sufficient number of medical human resources with strong quality, which is the premise for Hanoi Medical University to become a key national university in the top group in Asia according to the Prime Minister's approval decision, meeting the requirements of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

The project scale includes the construction of a training area, hospital and high-tech medical research institutes with a total expected investment of 3,150 billion VND.

To implement the project, the Ministry of Health proposed that Bac Ninh province consider and provide financial support and carry out compensation, site clearance, resettlement and investment in technical infrastructure for the project using the provincial budget for the period 2026 - 2030.

The Ministry of Health will report to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance to supplement the medium-term public investment capital for the period 2021 - 2025, from which it will be allocated to the project of building the Hanoi Medical University facility in Bac Ninh province. Therefore, Hanoi Medical University is responsible for urgently developing a master plan and implementing the project investment procedures so that the steps can be implemented as soon as possible according to regulations.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Vuong Quoc Tuan, affirmed that the province will provide maximum support for the Hanoi Medical University project in the province to be implemented soon, including supporting compensation, site clearance, and construction of protective fences and technical infrastructure for the land according to the design.

In addition, the province will support the implementation of additional roads within the school campus. While the province is implementing the work, the locality hopes that the Ministry of Health will submit to the Government for additional medium-term public investment capital to speed up the project's progress.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the provincial civil project management and urban development board to be the investor to implement the province's items in the project to build the Hanoi Medical University facility in Bac Ninh province.

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan said that in the near future, the Provincial People's Committee will submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval a resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to support attracting prestigious, high-quality universities and colleges to Bac Ninh.

The resolution, once passed, will contribute to creating an open mechanism and budget resources for high-quality training institutions in general and Hanoi Medical University in particular to immediately invest in building facilities in Bac Ninh.
