In particular, in the context of the era of artificial intelligence (AI), we are entering an era where the speed of change in the world is happening so fast that it is no longer measured in decades or years, but in days, even hours - an era where artificial intelligence is gradually approaching zero cost; an era where countries compete not only with natural resources, but also with learning speed, with creativity, with adaptability.
For Vietnam to make a breakthrough in science, technology and innovation, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung said that it needs an ecosystem that encourages the spirit of asking questions; an education system that arouses curiosity and a research system that prioritizes creativity, especially, an economy that uses knowledge and creativity as the most valuable resources and enterprises that not only produce and do business but also become laboratories of society...
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that Vietnam has all the conditions to make a breakthrough in development based on science, technology and innovation. In the new context of the fourth industrial revolution, national digital transformation and non-traditional security challenges, it is necessary to comprehensively assess the current state of science and technology development in Vietnam, propose strategic breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation. How to make the power of science, technology and innovation spread in all areas of social life, truly becoming the most important resource and driving force of development.
At the workshop, the opinions and contents of the presentations affirmed that the world is witnessing a strong shift from the traditional economy to the knowledge economy, where artificial intelligence, big data, the internet of things and biotechnology are reshaping all aspects of social life. The workshop analyzed the world's lessons in developing science, technology and innovation; analyzed Vietnam's practices, identified the advantages and limitations, causes and lessons in developing science, technology and innovation in 40 years of innovation.

From the analysis and evaluation, the workshop unanimously proposed that Vietnam needs to build an innovative and creative ecosystem, improve digital education to develop digital citizens, consider talent as a key resource for strategic breakthroughs; perfect talent policies, attract good knowledge of Vietnam in the world and international experts; reform institutions and strengthen international cooperation; build core technologies such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology and renewable energy, invest heavily in research and development, flexibly accept risk mechanisms, financial policies with venture capital funds and tax incentives...
