DTO - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Plan for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion in Dong Thap Province in 2025 with the goal of promoting growth along with economic restructuring, aiming at substantial and clear changes in the growth model towards sustainability, enhancing the autonomy, adaptability and resilience of the economy. In that spirit, the plan sets a target of building at least one chain for key products by 2025 according to the provincial agricultural restructuring project. Contributing to the target of the province's export value of goods reaching 2.4 billion USD (excluding temporarily imported and re-exported goods, the export turnover of goods reaches 2.2 billion USD). Calling on 1-2 businesses to learn about investment in the field of circular economy, emission reduction, and effective use of waste and by-products in the agricultural sector.
Strive to have at least 12 products of the province supported in promotion, trade promotion, market search and consumption in countries in Europe, America, Asia... Support at least 25% of products to achieve OCOP certification, typical rural industrial products to be connected with distribution and consumption systems at home and abroad. Strive for 100% of OCOP products of the province to be traded in the online environment and have at least 7 new enterprises participating in reputable e-commerce platforms at home and abroad.
At the same time, continue to support some OCOP products of the province (prioritizing 4-star OCOP products, potential 5-star OCOP products); craft village products, traditional craft villages participating in the Craft Village and OCOP product Fair. Conduct a related discussion session within the framework of the Mekong Delta Provinces Connection Forum.
On the other hand, coordinate the organization of tourism promotion programs, agricultural tourism products, OCOP products associated with cultural events, festivals, sports, conferences, fairs, seminars... especially activities associated with festivals and major events in the province. Strive for Dong Thap tourism to welcome 5 million visitors, including 60,000 international visitors. Total tourism revenue reaches 2,416 billion VND.
Strive to have 25 businesses come to learn about the investment environment and policies of Dong Thap province (including 2 FDI investors); organize 1 meeting and connect with travel businesses outside the province.
To achieve the above targets, the plan sets out a number of implementation contents. Accordingly, promoting trade promotion, continuing to implement the Project on restructuring the provincial agricultural sector in 2025, with a vision to 2030. Strengthening the promotion and trade promotion of key industries, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and typical products of the province through participation in exhibitions, linkage programs, and trade promotion with provinces and cities across the country, on digital platforms to expand domestic and foreign markets.
Support businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities to promote their brands, trademarks, and products and build points of introduction, product display, sales, and transit warehouses outside the province; promote the application of information technology in trade promotion activities and brand promotion through the e-commerce environment and digital technology platforms.
In addition, promote tourism promotion activities in key markets to spread the tourism brand "Dong Thap - Pure as the soul of Lotus"; strengthen propaganda and promotion of Dong Thap tourism products on digital platforms; promote and introduce "Dong Thap Lotus" cuisine. Coordinate with travel agencies inside and outside the province to develop tours to introduce and promote local tourism products, especially new products and rural agricultural tourism products.
Actively seek and contact potential investors to attract investment, businesses to learn and promote domestic and foreign investment. Participate in national and international events at home and abroad on investment promotion, associated with tourism and trade promotion to directly contact investors and visually promote the image, business and investment environment of the province, focusing on the field of high-tech agriculture...
