Building a school culture involves implementing an educational management process within each school to create a friendly, orderly, and disciplined school environment. This is a central task that educational institutions in the province have been focusing on. Responding to societal demands, each school sets its own goals and mission, tailored to the teachers, students, and practical conditions, ensuring three core criteria: safety, love, and respect. Therefore, for many years, the teachers and students of Van Giang High School (Van Giang) have strived to successfully achieve the goal of becoming a happy school.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ngan, Principal of Van Giang High School, said: "The school has organized many rich and diverse activities, suitable to practical conditions, creating an open, democratic atmosphere of mutual respect between teachers and teachers, and teachers and students. Each staff member and teacher demonstrates a high sense of responsibility in teaching and learning, and the respect between teachers and students creates a friendly environment, stimulating the learning spirit of each student. Along with that, the school always effectively promotes the activities of the Trade Union and Youth Union to organize activities linked to the implementation of emulation movements aimed at educating patriotism, traditional history, and the beautiful culture of the nation, contributing to improving the effectiveness of political and ideological education and shaping the character of each student." At Tong Tran Primary School (Phu Cu), we were very impressed by the safe and friendly educational environment. The schoolyard, stairs, and corridors of the classrooms were kept clean. Homeroom teachers and students decorated the classrooms beautifully and creatively. The school grounds were covered in the green of trees, creating a cool and refreshing atmosphere. The "Building a Friendly School, Active Students" emulation movement contributed to building a civilized educational environment and creating a pleasant feeling for students when coming to school. A highlight of this movement is the school's focus on developing a code of conduct based on ethical standards and workplace culture to serve as a basis for evaluating, referencing, and disseminating the behavior of all members of the school; emphasizing the role of teachers as role models to guide students' behavior and attitudes. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep, a teacher at Tong Tran Primary School, expressed: "Along with teaching literacy, we teach students how to behave in a cultured way from the smallest things, such as being respectful to teachers; having a friendly attitude when communicating and interacting with friends and those around them." Each student has a unique personality and ability, so I have a different way of communicating with and guiding them. For academically gifted students, I constantly encourage and praise them to motivate them to strive harder. For mischievous students, I find ways to talk to them to better understand their circumstances, thereby guiding them to develop correct behavior and a beautiful lifestyle from a young age. To promote the development of school culture, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to develop and implement a code of conduct issued by the Ministry of Education and Training . The province has 479 educational institutions; 90% of schools meet the standards of being green, clean, beautiful, safe, and friendly. 100% of educational institutions have developed programs and activities to implement Plan No. 752/KH-SGDĐT, dated April 27, 2022, on strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and inspiring the aspiration for contribution among students in the period 2021-2030... In teaching and learning the subjects of Ethics and Civic Education, schools have strengthened the connection to reality, exemplary role models, and emphasized the responsibility of teachers to set a good example at all times and in all places. School administrators, teachers, staff, education trade union officials, and Youth Union officials... in schools have received training to improve their capacity and skills in cultural conduct. General education institutions have established counseling and support teams for students' psychology and social work within the school; Organizing social activities well, showing gratitude, charity and humanitarian work, promoting education and talent, giving gifts and scholarships to outstanding students and underprivileged students who overcome difficulties... To continue building a beautiful school culture, schools need to coordinate closely with local authorities to ensure security, order, and safety, preventing bad elements from luring students into social vices or violations of ethics and lifestyle in the locality, especially in the area around the school; there needs to be a close connection between family, school and society, in which the school plays the role of guiding and correcting students' behavior according to common standards; focusing on building a team of teachers and educational management staff who are truly exemplary, serving as role models for students to follow. Educational institutions need to continue promoting the education of revolutionary ideals, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, vocational skills, and employment for students; Emphasis should be placed on building a healthy culture of conduct, promoting positive values of traditional customs and values, and upholding the spirit of mutual support, compassion, and solidarity. Along with the efforts of the education sector, regular cooperation from families is also essential to contribute to creating a safe, friendly, and positive environment, and to forming a system of good values for students.
