Construction wheelbarrow falls from 4th floor, crushes construction worker to death

On the afternoon of May 16, the Office of the Criminal Police Department of Kien Giang Province coordinated with Duong Dong Ward Police (Phu Quoc City) and related authorities to clarify the work accident that caused one death at the construction site of a 5-storey house on Nguyen Trung Truc Street (in Quarter 2, Duong Dong Ward) on the same morning.

According to initial information, at around 8am the same day, Mr. LVC (from An Bien district, Kien Giang province) worked as a construction worker, was working on the ground floor of a 5-storey building under Nguyen Trung Truc bridge (Ward 2, Duong Dong ward), when a wheelbarrow fell from the 4th floor, hitting him. The victim was later confirmed dead.

People working with Mr. C. said that a wheelbarrow filled with mortar was being pulled from the ground to the 5th floor to lay the floor tiles. When it was pulled to the 4th floor, it fell and hit Mr. C.
