Truck carrying relief goods for people affected by flash floods in Nghe An overturned on a mountain slope

According to information from local authorities and My Ly Border Guard Station, Ky Son district, late in the afternoon of June 6, in Huoi Tu commune (Ky Son), a traffic accident occurred, a truck carrying goods overturned on top of a fairly high slope.

Specifically, the truck with license plate 29H.8xxx was carrying relief goods to support people affected by flash floods in Nhon Mai commune, traveling from Hanoi to Nhon Mai (Tuong Duong). When the truck reached Pha Bun slope in Pha Bun village, Huoi Tu commune (Ky Son), it overturned and all the goods on the truck spilled onto the road.

Upon receiving the information, Bac Ly commune authorities and My Ly Border Guard Station sent forces to the scene to support the vehicle owner and collect the goods.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. Some goods were damaged. Authorities helped clean up the scene and direct traffic.

Nhon Mai commune is located quite far from the center of Tuong Duong district. From Vinh city, to get to Nhon Mai commune, you can follow National Highway 7 or National Highway 48 with a distance of about 280km. To get to Nhon Mai, you need to go around Ky Son district, including the distance from Muong Xen town through Pha Danh, Huoi Tu, and My Ly communes. This is a road with many steep slopes and winding curves.

According to local residents, heavy rain often occurs in Ky Son at this time, especially in the late afternoon and at night, making the roads slippery. Therefore, vehicles need to drive slowly and drivers need to study the terrain and learn how to drive to ensure safety when participating in traffic./.
