On July 30, Mr. Lai Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 2879/UBND-NCKS to the Provincial Inspectorate, Provincial Police, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Information and Communications on the inspection of the organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province.
Official dispatch No. 2879/UBND-NCKS of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee was just signed and issued by Mr. Lai Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the content of the dispatch, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province received petitions from citizens and public opinion reflecting irregularities in exam scores in the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province.
Based on the results of the meeting of the Party Executive Committee and the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; The Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Inspectorate to conduct an unscheduled inspection of the implementation of policies, laws, tasks and powers assigned to the Departmentof Education and Training (DET), the Director of the DET and related organizations and individuals in organizing the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province according to the provisions of the Law on Inspection and guiding documents for implementation.
The Provincial Police and the Department of Information and Communications shall assign officers and civil servants with sufficient capacity, qualifications and conditions to participate in the inspection according to the provisions of the Law on Inspection, and send the list to the Thai Binh Provincial Inspectorate before 2:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024 (before making the list, the units will discuss and agree with the Provincial Inspectorate on the number).
If deemed necessary, the Provincial Inspectorate may invite additional officers and civil servants from other agencies and units to participate in the inspection, ensuring objectivity, accuracy and compliance with legal regulations.

Accordingly, in response to citizens' and public opinion's feedback on irregularities in the entrance exam scores for grade 10 high school in Thai Binh province, based on the results of the meeting of the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Inspectorate to conduct an emergency inspection of the implementation of legal policies, duties and powers for the Department of Education and Training, the Director of the Department of Education and Training and related organizations and individuals in organizing the entrance exam for grade 10.
The People's Committee of Thai Binh province assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to advise the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to consider and decide to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training, to serve the inspection activities, in accordance with the provisions of law.
