Xiaomi has confirmed that seven popular phone models have officially reached EOL (End-of-Life) status in April 2025. This means that the company will stop providing all future software updates for them, including important security patches and operating system upgrades.
Xiaomi stops software support for 7 popular phone models |
This is part of Xiaomi’s normal product support cycle, where older devices are phased out after a period of support. The end of updates doesn’t mean the phone will immediately become ‘junk’, but it will certainly put the device at greater risk and become outdated over time.
Unpatched vulnerabilities can be exploited by attackers to gain unauthorized access to user data, steal passwords, or even install malware.
Here is the list of 7 Xiaomi phone models added to the EOL list:
1. POCO F4 GT
2. Redmi K50 Gaming
3. Redmi 10A
4. Redmi Note 11S 5G
5. Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
6. Xiaomi 11i
7. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge
The list covers a wide range of segments, from high-performance gaming machines to mid-range and budget models from Xiaomi.
If you are using devices that appear in the list above, you should consider upgrading to newer Xiaomi devices to better protect your personal data.
