In addition to maintaining urban order, An Hai ward (Da Nang city) will further strengthen the handling of administrative violations to ensure discipline and order in the Son Tra night market area.

On the morning of August 24, Mr. Hoang Cong Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Hai Ward (Da Nang City) issued a document responding to information from VNA about handling street vendors and shops encroaching on sidewalks and roads, "surrounding" the tourist night market in the ward.

Specifically, the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Hai Ward said that the People's Committee of the ward has directed units to coordinate smoothly and ensure that forces are present regularly to closely monitor the area 24 hours a night, and so far, things have basically stabilized.

In the coming time, in addition to maintaining the campaign to rectify urban order, security and traffic safety, the locality will further strengthen the handling of administrative violations to ensure discipline and order in the Son Tra night market area.

Previously, the Ward People's Committee also issued Plan No. 04/KH-UBND dated July 16, 2025 on launching inspections and handling of street vendors, beggars, encroachment on sidewalks and roads, and soliciting customers in An Hai Ward in 2025.

The Ward People's Committee assigned the Ward Public Service Supply Center to advise the Ward People's Committee to develop a schedule for mobilizing forces to handle urban order on a daily basis; in which the Son Tra night market area is the focus of regular mobilization every night until 10pm.

However, after the campaign, the Ward People's Committee determined that the subjects were again committing illegal acts to do business, encroaching on the sidewalk, soliciting customers... The Ward People's Committee continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 412/UBND-TTSNC dated August 15, 2025 on handling security, order, and traffic safety at the night market and the road leading to Dragon Bridge.

The ward organized the deployment of many forces in simultaneous shifts, coordinated with the ward police and militia to inspect and handle the situation of encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business and trading in the night market area to stabilize soon.

According to the People's Committee of An Hai Ward, Son Tra night market has just started operating at the new location since August 1, 2025. The arrangement and layout are not yet stable, but it has attracted a large number of tourists and residents. People take advantage of the situation by carrying street vendors and selling sugarcane juice by carts, rushing into the market gate, soliciting tourists, causing offense and ruining the urban beauty.

Previously, on August 22, VNA published an article reflecting the unstable security and order situation around Son Tra night market, with many street vendors and spontaneous traders encroaching on sidewalks and roads, "surrounding" tourists visiting the market.

On the roads surrounding the night market, there are many spontaneous parking lots, encroaching on sidewalks and roadsides. In front of the night market gate, there are many street vendors blatantly parked, selling and littering.

After the VNA reported, Secretary of the Party Committee of An Hai Ward Phung Phu Phong inspected the Son Tra night market and directed that there must be a thorough and decisive handling plan, especially for cases of chaotic sales and repeated violations./.
