Pre-match analysis

Although currently behind Johor, Nam Dinh holds a significant advantage as they have played one less match. If they secure all three points in the next round, the team from Nam Dinh will move to the top of Group B with a perfect winning record.

Nam Dinh's significant advantage lies in their excellent physical condition, especially after the V.League took a break for nearly a month. Thorough preparation of the squad, particularly the timely return of Nguyen Xuan Son – the striker who recently scored a hat-trick against Shan United – gives coach Jeronimo's team added confidence heading towards victory.

Conversely, Bangkok United is clearly in decline. The Thai representative has not won in their last 6 matches, losing two consecutive games in the Thai League and AFC Champions League Two. Having to compete on multiple fronts has made Bangkok's performance inconsistent, even though they still have the home advantage at BG Stadium.

Given this context, Nam Dinh is likely to approach the game cautiously, prioritizing defensive solidity and waiting for opportunities to counter-attack. With their current form, the Vietnamese team is capable of earning points, or even securing a victory, on Thai soil.
