Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed Decision No. 297/QD-TTg dated April 10, 2024, assigning the Ministry of Finance to issue 746,805 tons of rice from the national reserve to 2 provinces: Dien Bien and Bac Kan to support people during the crop gap in early 2024.

Specifically, Bac Kan province was granted 72,705 tons of rice. Dien Bien province was granted 674.1 tons of rice.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to handle specific matters according to regulations; according to assigned functions and tasks, they are responsible for the basis, information, and data of the proposed report.
The People's Committees of Dien Bien and Bac Kan provinces are responsible for the accuracy of reported data and provide timely support to the right subjects and at the right rates according to regulations.
