Singer and musician Hai Yen and delegates sang the song "Proud of Ho Chi Minh City Metro" on the first metro train officially put into operation.
On the train from Suoi Tien Bus Station to Ben Thanh Station, many people on the train were moved when the song "Proud of Metro TP.HCM" was played, performed by the composer of this song.

The joy of metro project participants on the official operation day.
"I have heard stories and watched films about the journey of making the metro, from which I feel the resilience, patience, and overcoming difficulties of the collective of people who made the metro and wrote the song. In this song, every sentence, every word, every melody is the wholeheartedness of those who are attached to the metro," said Ms. Yen.
Talking about metro line 1, Ms. Yen said that the moment the first train was put into operation was a historic moment, very much worth cherishing.
In the future, Ho Chi Minh City will certainly have other urban railway lines, but the first moment the city masters the technology and the railway line will always be meaningful.
Dr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc, member of the consulting expert team for the Project to build the urban railway system in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the metro train this morning, Dr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc, a member of the consulting team for the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway System Project, stood quietly observing with eyes full of pride and happiness.
Mr. Quoc said that when he was on the first metro train officially put into operation, he remembered the early days when the project was implemented, thinking about his unfulfilled promise.
When he started working on Metro Line 1, he promised his children that he would return to Japan when the railway was completed. But the project took so long to complete that the promise never came true.
"Moreover, now the city continues to prepare for other metro lines, I will stay to make the most of my experience and knowledge, contributing and directly participating in work in my hometown," Mr. Quoc shared.
People flock to experience metro line 1 at Ben Thanh station.
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong hopes that city residents and tourists will actively support and use the urban railway to contribute to maintaining and maximizing the effectiveness of the urban railway after its official operation.
Metro is not only a means of transportation but also a cultural symbol, a bridge between people and humane stories.
According to Mr. Cuong, in the next phase, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to prioritize and focus on investing and synchronously developing urban railway lines in the urban transport planning, strongly developing according to the TOD model, aiming to build Ho Chi Minh City into a smart, modern, sustainable city in the future - a symbol of innovation, connection and urban civilization.
