Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, shared his insights on the application of AI in patient support. |
In a year, more than 2 million records of information for 2 million outpatients and over 200,000 inpatients are processed. This results in a vast amount of information being collected, leading to enormous figures and data.
Applying this data can help in early diagnosis of patients using AI, detecting early signs of disease so that patients can receive complete treatment, predicting disease trends, and providing personalized treatment for each patient will be greatly improved.
Training and transferring AI technology to specialized teams will be many times more effective than traditional methods. |
The application of artificial intelligence in disease diagnosis and screening in paraclinical fields, diagnostic tests, and functional exploration helps in early detection, providing quick, accurate, and comprehensive results about the disease.
More broadly, the development and application of big data and data banks in research will help treatment activities provide accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatments, and update treatment guidelines worldwide.
