1,831 farming households received unsecured loans of 155.5 billion VND from KienlongBank

Farmers in Thanh Binh commune, Giong Rieng district ( Kien Giang ) harvest winter-spring rice 2024-2025.

After 6 months of implementing the unsecured loan coordination program, Kien Giang province has 1,831 households borrowing with a total outstanding loan balance of 155.5 billion VND. This capital source helps farmers invest in production, helping to limit the situation of hot loans and black credit in the area.

Provincial Party Committee member and Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Kien Giang province, Do Tran Thinh, said that according to the coordination plan between the Provincial Farmers' Association and KienlongBank Rach Gia branch, the accumulated outstanding loan balance disbursed by December 2025 is expected to reach VND500 billion, with 7,000 members having access to capital.

Discussing at the conference, representatives of farmers’ associations from several communes, wards, districts and cities in Kien Giang province requested KienlongBank to expand lending to farmers growing crops, raising fish in cages, and good farmers and businesses. There were suggestions to increase lending levels for OCOP entities, consumer loans, etc.

At the conference, KienlongBank Rach Gia branch symbolically awarded 150 million VND to sponsor the rural traffic bridge project to the Farmers' Association of Kien Giang province; rewarded 15 excellent loan group leaders with high outstanding loans and no bad debts and 5 excellent transaction office managers in districts and cities in the province.
