According to the report of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on August 6, international visitors to Vietnam in July still maintained good growth momentum with over 1.5 million arrivals, up 7% compared to June 2025 and up 35.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
Of which, international visitors arriving by air accounted for the majority, reaching 1.3 million, followed by road and waterway.
China remains Vietnam’s largest market with over 391,000 arrivals, followed by South Korea. Taiwan, Japan, and India continue to be familiar markets with large proportions.
Notably, in July, some markets had a high increase in the number of visitors compared to June such as Belgium (up 278%), Denmark (up 249%), the Netherlands (up 207%), the Czech Republic (up 98%)...
The total number of international tourists to Vietnam in the first 7 months of 2025 reached 12.2 million, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024.
The number of domestic tourists in July 2025 is estimated at about 15.5 million, of which about 10.3 million are staying. The total number of domestic tourists in the first 7 months of 2025 reached 93 million.
Vietnam tourism recorded revenue of about 616,000 billion VND in 7 months of 2025.
According to tourism experts, the international tourist market this year has many positive signs. Normally, the summer season is from May to the end of August every year, which is the low season.
However, the number of international tourists coming to Vietnam remains high, growing steadily even during the low season.
A representative of a cruise service business unit on Ha Long Bay said that many international visitors have booked services for the last months of the year, especially during Christmas and New Year holidays.
With the current growth rate, Vietnam tourism can completely fulfill the goal of welcoming 22 - 23 million international visitors this year.
